- Just a few questions that have, no doubt, been asked before and,
- no doubt, been adequately answered before, but please bear with
- me.
-
- Can I, generally speaking, use a SCSI-II drive on a SCSI-I
- controller?
-
- If so, what, if anything, do I need to know about the differences?
-
- Throughput would certainly be affected, but to what extent? Can I
- expect native SCSI-I performance, or would the speed be affected by
- other factors as well?
-
- What about cabling requirements?
-
- I'm assuming that the SCSI-II drive would need to be non-FAT/WIDE.
-
- Any other considerations?
-
- Any info relating specifically to the A3000 would be particularly
- helpful.
-
- Thanks in advance,
- -Mike
